And that's why they are gone

Ever wondered where have all the family planning ads that were aired on DD vanished?
Where have the autos with bold -"Hum Do Hamaare Do" gone?

For the past 1 and a half years I have been living in a village called Allahabad where from my point of view people wont mind having an intra family cricket match. But even here i cannot see none of these ads.

Well it all happened in the economics class. The point of India's manpower becoming an asset rather than a liability has lead to India's emergence as not only a political power but economic power as well. The teacher was babbling something about India now graduating from developing to a developed economy.She also but said that as we move forward we would be loosing our momentum.
Cheaper labor from other countries would outsource us.
In a few years to come we will have more jobs than labour.

And then was it that I announced in the class to have found out the real reason.....where they have gone.
The BBC (backbenchers) were caught by attention.
NO FAMILY PLANNING....I announced......NO....and they were shocked.....i like giving them some surprises......but they had not expected such in front of a teacher.

The teacher smirked...but she took me seriously for she was explaining people that i had foretold the future.....[:)]....she was saying that it will be true.
She said that some working couples not wanting children is a pointer.
Years to come and India will suffer only because it didn't have adequate population.

So people of India do I hereby request you to pledge your services to this country of yours...for which your forefathers had paid in blood.....and for the prosperity of which it is your duty to HAVE AT LEAST a cricket or a football or a hockey team(if you are overwhelmingly patriotic)....
but not a basketball one(remember to be patriotic).

I think the Allahabadi effect is catching on!!!

But then why are the contraciptives ad still there on DD???

Nice point Dude..!!!
These days the population which is a sort of asset to us is going to be a burden on India in cming yrs as in china now.

But abt Allahabad, there is a trend of intra family cricket matches :P
nice observation... :D

aaaaaaaaaahhhh ............. i dont quite agree with all the three............. contaceptive ads and family planning measures have a lot more to tell people.........specially to let women know that they matter..............they have a choice..............to say NO.
It has a close connection to the issue of reproductive health.........may be a blog could be written on that too. :)

@ashesha...u have my word....just that iam searching for the woman's captain of my team

@krish...HAVE MERCY!!!!!! :)

@supriya well bhavnaon ko samjho!!!

@nams...it takes around 25 yrs to have a skilled workforce..our labour force(mind....not skilled force) is going to fall short than the number of jobs available....
the govt is doing its part...not that efficiently though..but yes,,,20 IIIT's coming reckon to the same.
but yes we have to have the economic advantage of cheap labour ...the USP of India.
and seeing the current trends in scandavanian countries and japan...its i think high time that we get aware of such situations
.....nice to see you here

@bijli...yo dude ...i guess i'll agree that cheap labour force is d USP of India ..but then v should have a concrete vision of our future like Japan and China ...they know they do not want an unmanageable population ,hence they practise strict birth control measures and at the same time make fast-paced moves in the field of technology to b a more efficient replacement of the labour force ...while v, on one side try our hand in technology ( for replacing labour that is ..) and on the oder side are unwilling to take up birth control measures ..am afraid , finally the situation will b that technology replaces labour ( d gud change) , but still v'll have more mouths to feed ( the bad change ) ...

so wat say now ??

@nams.....

nice....nice

but then....just think....can technology replace humans?
isn't it humans that are behind the technology....
india's poverty levels are fast decreasing....
japan's plans not being fool-proof are indicated by it's governmental plans of decelerating the economy.
the need of the hour is to strike a balance....
but the rate at which the gap between the labour force and number of jobs of bridging....and the rate at which artificial intelligence is developing...and the investment that the government is ready to put in that.....keeping all in mind..
k..dont have a cricket or a football team....have a kabaddi team instead....( :) )
