Waterfall

I went to see what they told me was a waterfall
But not a drop of water flowed
There were stones and sand and weed around
And even the parched earth  showed

I felt cheated by nature and cursed it out
for I had spent for it all my saving
And to the people around and me as well
Abusing my luck for the bearing

But then that night it rained so hard
The skies roared with thunder
The next day fog hazed my view
Of the waterfall that now was a wonder

My heart beat with every gush of water
bouncing over the stone that shone
in the golden light of sun, I saw
for real the beauty that I had not known

Nature takes time to heal the parch
But we fret to hasten things
Cannot we harmonize with it and then enjoy
The little surprises that it brings?
